1980 OYSTER 34
I sell sailing boat OYSTER 34 (built 1980 by OYSTER MARINE/COLVIC CRAFT per survey report). Very seaworthy cruising boat in perfect condition. It is difficult to find boat from this years in such excellent condition. It is the boat for sailor who appreciate classic shape, seaworthiness and beautiful look.
The boat was renovated completely during last years as I bought her in 2006. In 2021– 2023 massive renovation work was carried on. New Yanmar 3JH5E engine (28.7 kW@3000 rpm) was installed in 2021 together with new stainless steel fuel tank (160 liters).
New teak deck was built in 2022 and deck was painted with International paints. There is no osmosis at all (surveyor report from 2024 can be presented for on demand). Floor in the cabin was made of teak plywood in 2023. Upholstery is made of original Alcantara. There are berths for 8 person (V-berth, 2 berths in saloon, 2 pilot berths and 2 quarter berths).
The boat has slutter rig with main sail and genoa on Facnor roller in very good condition. In 2021 new jib and new Facnor roller were installed on additional inner stay. There are 4 new Lewmar winches installed in 2023. Bimini, sprayhood and cover for main sail and genoa were made in 2022.
There is Lewmar V2 windlass (new electric motor from 2023) with 75 meters of chain. Lewmar Cobra steering system was replaced in 2013 together with and rudder bearings.
In 2024 new Victron Solar panel (360W-24V Mono) and new Victron Energy Deep cycle AGM batteries (connected in one big battery bank of 350 Ah) and Victron inverter and Victron battery monitor were installed. There is new (2023) fridge Dometic Waeco CRX50 12v.
In 2024 Raymarine Axiom+ Real Vision chart plotter together with transducer for Real Vision were fitted. There is AIS (transmitter/receiver) installed this spring too.
The boat has two fresh water tanks (flexible Vetus 180 liters tank and stainless steel 120 liters tank) and one new (2024) black water tank - stainless steel about 50 liters.
In 2024 new Jabsco toilet was installed and toilet hoses were replaced.
All crucial boat systems are in perfect conditions or were replaced during last years including lights on the mast (led Hella marine combo light), VHF antenna, blocks, rod kicker, mainsheets, jib and genoa sheets, new teak folding passerelle, water taps and water pumps in the galley etc...
The boat is based in Greece close to Athens. Monthly cost of storage in the shipyard is about 120 Euro. The surveyor report was prepared in 2024. The boat is ready for sailing. My new boat project is the only one reason for sale.
